Fresh from a hugely successful month that saw it complete partnerships with leading brands across Europe, OKTO is making its debut at EAG with a commitment to help operators step into omni-channel cashless responsible payments
The OKTO team is at EAG (stand 295) in a confident mood having completed no fewer than three partnership agreements with leading operating brands in the course of a single month. In February the award-winning payment app and platform announced partnerships with Get’s bet (Romania), REAC (Netherlands) as well as the hugely respected international operator Codere, which is active in seven international markets across Europe and LatAm.
CCO Simon Dorsen, who is leading the OKTO team at EAG said: “Wherever we operate we do so in partnership with the local industry in order to deliver payments solutions to meet the specific needs of businesses and consumers in the omni-channel gambling, leisure, and entertainment sectors. This strategy is working extremely well both in the UK and across Europe in all of the regions that we are active. For us it’s clear that understanding the local market including regulations, economics and cultural differences, is imperative.”
Reflecting on what was a ‘Fabulous February’ for OKTO, Dorsen added: “We are rolling out our fully cashless mobile-first payments solution across Codere’s network of arcades throughout the Spanish gaming network, which will be followed by Codere’s sports betting shops. The full scope of the partnership will enable Codere users to deposit and withdraw in real-time from any Codere gaming and betting touchpoint.”
“The OKTO technology will also play a big role in delivering a safer gambling experience, with the app featuring a tool kit of responsible gaming tools including a secure KYC and age verification, a profit and loss calculator, time out periods and the ability to set gaming limits – all features that are vitally important to gaming regulators and which also chime with the values of progressive operators.”
He added: “Codere undertook an extensive due diligence process before selecting OKTO and our omni-channel partnership is a testament to the award-winning technology, transparency and compliance that lies behind the OKTO solution, and which underpins all of our partnerships.
“Technology and security are the most powerful enablers of growth, and our team of payment and gaming experts are at EAG to provide visitors with a comprehensive view of how we can help operators to step into true omni-channel cashless, responsible payments and digitalise the player journey. For our operator partners, OKTO is as much a payment method as it is an institution helping operators to take the necessary strategic and political steps in order to remain compliant and socially responsible.”
